The difference is the second layer of security. It works like any other folder you have in OneDrive. Using the Personal Vault folder is pretty straightforward.
And on mobile, it can be unlocked using the Microsoft Authenticator app. For the second step you can use your fingerprint, your face with Windows Hello, a PIN, or code sent via email or SMS. Then you’ll need to sign in to your Microsoft account and set up a second mode of verification. On the web, log into your OneDrive account and find the new “Personal Vault” folder and click on it. Using Personal Vault in Microsoft OneDrive “Personal Vault started rolling out in all regions worldwide on September 6, 2019, and is expected to be available to everyone in October 2019,” notes Microsoft exec Seth Patton. But it’s now starting to roll out to more users. It began rolling out to limited regions on June 25 th. Earlier this year the company announced the Personal Vault feature.
